The success of your writing is determined by your teachers’, your readers’ responses, so I help you to understand what readers need and expect. And since my approach to understanding what readers want is based in neuroscience, it is applicable across disciplines, genres and age groups. Whatever your current level of writing skill, adopting this logical, repeatable, step by step approach will help you improve. The impact of poor academic writing is enormous, impacting ATAR and IB scores, university and college entrance offers, post-graduate and publication opportunities, and research grants. In the academic environment, muddled writing is assumed to indicate inadequate understanding and undisciplined thinking. Students’ grades are penalised when their excellent thinking and insights are not clear on the page. I help you to understand readers’ subconscious and conscious expectations for information flow, and how to guide them to see the importance and value of your work.
